 In 1972 the newly formed State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities challenged their right, as Homestead College of Bible to grant normal degrees entirely for the study of the Bible. Dr. Pent brought an appeal for the college to the First District Court of appeals in the State Capitol: where the court panel of three Justices ruled: that Homestead College of Bible operated legally by State statute, and that its wholly Biblical curriculum was indeed a worthy avenue for collegiate education and that it’s degrees were properly conferred as practiced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a real collegiate degree?

Yes the First District Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Florida ruled unanimously in 1973 that Homestead College of Bible in offering education “limited exclusively to the books of the Bible is a legal college and was properly exercising it authority in the granting of collegiate degrees.”

Ok the degrees are real, but how are they accepted by other colleges?

For 3

8 years, the college has been issuing credit transcripts without a single reported rejection or discounting by any educational institution including Oxford University, England.

So who uses the degrees?

Highly satisfied graduates are employed in a great variety of occupations, both in Christian service and public vocations. Additionally, our graduates may be found worldwide.

THE APOSTLE PAUL TO TIMOTHY, “BISHOP OF THE CHURCH AT EPHESUS”

          “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

          That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

          I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

          Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

-ll Timothy 3:16-17; 4:1-2

          Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

          Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
